Attitude Adjustment

This week is my birthday, and to celebrate it Yui has brought me to the Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort, close to our home town of Kota Kinabalu, in Malaysian North Borneo. Here, for three days, we will immerse ourselves in Western hotel luxury, hot tubs, the ocean … and, most importantly, do some horse-back riding on the beach.
We soon discovered the food at the Rasa Ria to be bland by local standards, although the Western tourists flocking here appear more than happy with the resort cuisine. As we sat in the Rasa Ria’s Coast Restaurant on the beach, I gazed mournfully at a glass of Australian Chardonnay I had just ordered. It, like our food, was bland. Expensive, yes … overwhelming, no.
“Why don’t you just change its vibration?” suggested Yui. I looked up at her, and blinked, and then returned a quizzical gaze to the wine. Yui Wang is one of the best psychics I know, so when she states the obvious, I try to listen. Now, this would be an act of pure self-indulgence, I thought to myself, but why not? After all, it’s not exactly changing water into wine, like in the good old days of the Egyptian Mystery Schools. My standards are much lower; I’m just hoping for drinkable wine.
I placed the glass between both hands, and shifted into energy healer mode, habitually increasing the pranic flow into my fingers. As with all energy healing any combination of focused intent and pranic flow creates change, but I also needed to adjust my attitude from one of disappointment and towards optimistic certainty. It’s the same esoteric principle utilized in any healing with my clients, albeit an application far nobler than personal wine transformation.
It’s nice to have help, so I sent out an invitation to the spirit guardians of the Burgundy wine region of eastern France, to ask for their participation in my experiment. Two minutes later I placed the wine on the table, swirled it for dramatic effect, and then tasted it again. Actually, it did seem much better than before, which was confirmed by my dinner partner. Wishful thinking? Imagination? Probably. But the incident reminded me of a fundamental truth of transformational work: if you don’t like what you are experiencing in life… change it, baby. Even a small shift can make a big difference.
Energy healing is never about big and dramatic changes, at least initially. It’s about tiny, incremental shifts that lead us forwards, towards a leap in both our experience and our perceptions. Multiple accumulations of consciousness upgrades allow our animal body to integrate and effectively utilize consciousness enhancements into our lives, whether it is sensory (like my dinner wine) or orientated around a life goal (such as a desire for a new job, or to become more financially secure). It all begins with a focused intention, which is then energized with prana. And, finally, you must believe in the outcome, to be able to suspend your skeptical mind for a while … and perhaps even learn to ask for help. When you release your request out into the universal energy field you initiate a process that can lead to deep change. You actively participate in bringing a new experience into your life. You can – just like me – change any sad wine into a happy wine.
But first, you have to try.
