Each generation re-interprets Energy Healing through modern eyes and by using the current scientific paradigm. The late Twentieth Century New Age concepts of the auric field and chakras have their Western roots in the Theosophic teachings of Madame Blavatsky, Annie Besant, and Alice Bailey. In the modern-day USA important healers such as Rosalyn L. Bruyere have enriched Energy Healing by working in hospitals and research projects, as well teaching cross-cultural healing methods to eager students. When we take a global perspective we find that human life force – the auric energy field – is a recognized cultural phenomena all over the planet. Whether we study the Chinese concepts of Qi, Indian ideas on Prana, or one of the American varieties of energy healing such as Therapeutic Touch or Reiki, we will find many techniques for balancing, charging, or re-directing the auric energy field. As human consciousness is known to be a function of the auric field we find that in enhancing our energy fields we also change our sense of self identity. Even soul identity – that who we perceive ourselves to be at higher levels of consciousness – shifts as the auric energy field grows or evolves to a new level of inner knowledge. And, of course, physical health also can also be dramatically enhanced as the auric energy field learns to adapt to material changes in the body or in the environment.
Relational Energy Healing builds upon known techniques of energy healing by adding a second factor: psycho-emotional development, and Relational Psychology. The Western psychological information on healthy human development can now update the practical map drawn from both Eastern and Western sources to allow the healer to pinpoint important issues and customize a powerful mind/body/relationship healing for a client.
For instance, a traditional energy healer may practice an intuitive hands-on healing, and allow life force to flow from themselves (or from another source such as the Earth) into the client. Similar to a “jump start” from a functioning vehicle into a weakened car battery this style of healing may allow the client to recover from a chronic illness or injury much faster than if left alone. This work can be done either in-person, or at a distance. A well-trained healer may also be able to clear or energize individual chakras to additionally enhance health and well being.
Relational Energy Healing raises these skills to yet another level by psychically working with various forms of chakra cords: the energetic connections between ourselves and others. Who we are – and our personal happiness – is predicated on all our relationships with others. By clearing and repairing chakras and their cords the energy healer can turbo-charge the personal awakening process of the client, and work to improve their ability to have healthier relationships. Additionally, if the client is personally involved in understanding their personal patterns or unconscious habits, he or she speeds up their personal evolution. This therapeutic journey towards personal awakening, along with specialized chakra cord healing techniques, make up the vital core of Relational Energy Work. This approach is not for everyone, however, as it necessitates the client to deeply examine themselves and their relationships. It requires a therapeutic approach similar to psychotherapy, in that a series of sessions will uncover patterns of unconscious material, and that by working through personal challenges the client will emerge more highly evolved as an adult.
Relational work also includes the Astral World: the impact of non-visible life forms on our bodies and in our relationships. The spirit realm of the astral is always with us, functioning in the symbolic and dream realms, or sometimes directly perceived by the client. Astral removal, or clearing, often makes a big difference for clients, and allows them unimpeded access to new avenues of personal change. And, ultimately, it is the Astral realms that support our evolution to higher states of being.
The impact of our heritage is of vital consideration in the healing journey of many individuals. Relational Energy Healing addresses heritage/DNA chakra cord influences on the client which, along with past life healing, can be the hidden causative factor in healing from either trauma, or from destructive life patterns.
Finally, Relational Energy Healing helps us develop our Awakened Self: to shift the focus of our lives from the egoic self (individuation), and towards the multidimensional experience of ourselves as an embodied soul. After we move past our crisis, and find ourselves back on solid ground, we can then turn to the next evolution of our spiritual journey. We awaken to our true nature.
