href="http://www.blog.deanramsden.com/studentclient-resources/the-power-of-energy-healing/" target="_blank">Energy Healing enhances personal growth and spiritual development by providing four ways to progress:

1. By clearing blockages or stagnant energy flows from our energy body, including Astral healing work.

2. Reconnecting or repairing the “wiring” of consciousness, so that what needs to work does work: the chakra system, and your chakra cords.

3. Assist the client in resolving inner (personal) developmental issues, relationship issues (adult-adult), and to face the universal/divine meaning of their life challenges.

4. Deepen the client’s personal development by re-initializing their energy system so that they can further evolve, or can move from a place where their lives may have been co-opted by trauma, or not receiving adequate nourishment from life.

The Level One energy healer can help to clear blockages in the energy body using multiple techniques or styles (point #1), but they may be limited in helping in points # 2 – 4. This is where the Level Two energy healer – one who has been trained by a ritual elder – offers clear benefits. In order to succeed in their own training the Level Two healer has had to face their own struggles in healing past wounds, which provides personal growth for them.

Chakra Clearing

But there are also limitations in choosing a Level Two healer, due to the reality that deep personal growth only takes place over time. Any certificate of training will not guarantee the effectiveness of the healer; it will only verify that they have finished their course of study. Because an energy healer is channeling life force (prana) via the vehicle of their own consciousness system, the quality of that prana is always dependent upon the depth of personal growth of that healer. They cannot pass on to you what they have not attained for themselves. When you receive a healing from a newly-minted energy healer graduate it will be noticeably different by that offered by an experienced healer: one who is at Level Three or Level Four. All maturity needs life experience, and there is no substitute.

The main problem of our modern society (2010) is that the cognitive apprenticeship method – ideal for training energy healers – is so hard to find, partly due to an explosion of simplistic energy healing methods that jockey for prominence in the eyes of the public. Just as digital film making has replaced real movie scenery with computer-generated fantasies, modern energy healing styles attempts to replace the trained healer (Levels Two-Four) with the uninitiated healer (Level One), to pass them off as equal in value.

In the end the touchstone in any professional field is that the work leads to effective and sustainable results. Energy healing is just another form of massage unless it deeply affects the consciousness of the client, and provides a definite change in the feeling body, and in the physical body. A Level One healer can produce such shifts … but they will usually not be sustainable, nor may they lead to deep personal growth. Like a flat battery getting a cable boost from a stronger car battery, the client’s energetic “engine” will start. But such results often fade with time, because the underlying structural problems have not been addressed. Simplistic energy healing work can be palliative, but not curative.

By contrast, experienced and trained energy healers offer long-term strategies to their clients, providing both immediate change and sustainable growth.

If you have already received a Level One healing you may have become disappointed that the results did not sustain over time, or that nothing really changed for you. You may have lost confidence in the field of spiritual or energy healing. I do encourage you to try again, this time by finding an experienced and trained practitioner. Even better, try several different healers and energy healing styles, until you find one that works really well for you. Invest your time and hard-earned money in your personal development; it affects everything of importance in your life. You will know you have found an effective healer when you start moving in the right direction in your life … and you keep on going. Again, it will take time, but one day you will become a new person, the person you were always meant to become in this lifetime. And you will never look back.

Learning To Fly

Spirituality

Energy Healing

Energy Healing Skills

Personal Development
<guid

Western medicine doesn’t recognize the spiritual dimension of healing unless the medical practitioner also happens to be someone interested in personal development, or healing work. But while these two end results – enhanced physical healing and spiritual reconnection – are essential elements in all energy healing work, I have come to appreciate one more thing it offers to us: spiritual freedom.

We are energy beings incarnated into a physical body. So the question is: why do it? What is the endgame of such a tremendous endeavor: the pouring of our multiple-frequency spiritual identity into low density matter? After all, higher-dimensional beings such as Angels are reportedly quite happy, as Baroque Angel paintings show. So, what do incarnating humans hope to achieve that can go beyond what the Angelic higher realms already offer?

Perhaps the answer lies in our desire to embrace a spiritual freedom. Freedom to create, freedom to explore, freedom to express all sides of the universal manifest reality. And the freedom to make mistakes. Lots of them. Even though such a freedom will bring with it loss, and release from old ways of being. More than one golden childhood will be lost to us in our lifetime.

Energy Healing can support spiritual freedom when it floods our undeveloped or traumatized systems with fresh and novel energy that leads us into becoming aware of things in a new way. It supports us in being willing to face ourselves – and the world in which we live – through a radically different perspective. Trained Energy Healing is the transfer of prana, and when this life force passes from healer to client it can be with the higher intention to awaken or support personal development in the other. This intention can help the client begin to question the fundamental assumptions of their problem, rather than to settle for an easy answer.

Freedom always questions authority. Freedom must never assume we (or another) have all the answers. Authoritarian control systems, whether internal ones (our critical voice within) or external ones (any political system) want us to take their answers, and their conclusions, at face value. These control systems tell us we are right when we accept their motives, their goals, their agendas. But inner and outer control systems have a vested interest in us remaining asleep, unconscious, repetitiously running on the same hamster wheel of denial. Good for them, but not so good for us.

Which means we have to start learning how to ask the right questions again, just like the inquisitive children we once were. We have to start thinking again, and thinking is hard work. But Energy Healing can direct the energetic consciousness of transformation to flow into those parts of our psyche, our feelings, and our body, that unconsciously resist recognizing meaningful truth. The truth we resist is like helium inflating a balloon; when it flows it enables us to fly. Only by facing the raw, uncensored truth about our lives can we ever choose to change, and to evolve ourselves. Our inner Baroque Angel may find itself evolving into something even more magnificent: a free human being.

Then we can really fly.

Chakra Self Cords: Anchoring Experience Of The Other Into The Self

Healing Skills

Chakra Cords

Energy Healing Skills

The Barbara Brennan School Of Healing
<guid

At the time I was working with several clients in my healing practice who were struggling with releasing challenging relationships. I had become specialized in chakra cord clearing in combination with Astral Healing after I had resigned from my position of PS 2 Class Dean at The Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Miami, Florida. But, I was become increasingly discouraged in relying upon the BBSH approach to the healing of early shock and trauma, and I was looking for an alternative to harsh or confrontational methods.

Then, in the midst of an energy healing session, my spirit helper had nudged me and pointed at the chakra cord I was cleaning. “There, you see those thin branches sprouting out of the relational cord going towards her mother? They root back into the chakra, and anchor the experience of “Mother” into her auric system. Try gently pulling them back towards the head of the chakra. See what happens when you do so.”

I had tried to take hold of these newly-discovered branching cords but they were, indeed, tiny and extremely delicate. It took a few more healing sessions before I had learned how to take hold of each fragile “self-cord” and gently move them into contact with the outer edge of the chakra. Then I watched as, like a magnet attaching to metal, the self-cord automatically attached itself into the chakra, and stayed in place. At least, most of the time. Sometimes they just sprang back to their former position, of hanging out next to their host cord.

Self Cords emerging from Chakra Cord

But I persisted in learning this new skill, and I’m glad I did. The positive results of self-cord work have been reported back to me from my clients over the past six years. Self-cord attachment has become a vital part of my healing work: the energetic anchoring of “the experience of the other” into the auric consciousness system. These days – and without dramatic catharsis – many of my clients make slow, steady, but significant shifts in their perception of themselves as individuated beings.

With this particular relational energy healing skill, nice and easy does it. Of course catharsis can be helpful in certain cases of repressed expression, but it is not essential for all stages of our personal growth work. Growing a stable connection to the self is essential to us all, and self-cord work can help that process.

Four Levels Of Energy Healing

Healing Skills

Energy Healing Skills

Energy Healing Training Program

Personal Development

levels of ability – and competence – for Energy Healers, as there are in every professional discipline. On this website I use the term Level One of energy healing to refer to new healers (or healers-in-training) who currently offer a generalized “aura balancing”, or simple transmission of energy. Many briefly-trained (or even untrained) healers are able to intuitively connect their energy system into that of another, encouraging change in their clients to occur.

The intention and focusing abilities that the individual Level One healer brings to their healing work improves upon this process: an energy healing with a receptive “client” and intuitive “healer”. Assuming that the healer has a stronger energy field than the client, the other will be energized by this process, as well as gain increased mental clarity and a sense of well-being.

The Level Two energy healer refers to someone who has been trained in useful healing skills, such as Qi Gong, Craniosacral Therapy, or who are a graduate of an in-depth energy healing school. Undergoing a long-term training to be able to practice specific skills increases the strength and frequency width of pranic energies able to flow through the trained healer, and hence into the energy field of their client. The results obtained by Level Two healing skills are then verified through professional experience: in other words, consistent results should be expected from any Level Two healer. For instance, if I have learned a healing skill that energizes the Lower Dantien in my Qi Gong training I can expect my clients to experience a certain effect when I apply that skill, in this case an increased grounding of the client into her physical body. The two hallmarks of the Level Two healer are effectiveness, and having undergone a certified training.

energy healing that have incorporated psychotherapeutic methods into their healing model. While psychotherapy is a vital tool on our journey towards healing and evolution it does have drawbacks and significant restrictions when integrated with spiritual or energy healing. Some forms of psychotherapy can unknowingly stimulate or re-wound any early personal issue held in the body-mind. Cognitive insight into personal struggles can be extremely helpful, to be sure, and the building of new inner resources is essential, but the professional energy healer is also concerned with the overall energy consciousness of the client. An additional tool we can use alongside psychotherapy is what I have termed reflexive (cause and effect) personal process.

Many of the events in life that stress or shock us also offer an opportunity for us to grow as individuals. Psychotherapy is at its best when working with those clients who have undergone significant trauma and have difficulty with a reflexive personal process: resolving a shock or an invasion into the consciousness system. But, for those ready and able to take a more advanced step forward, stressing or shocking events can be actively used to grow many useful parts of ourselves, and to help evolve our personal development. Shocks or challenges to the self, experienced as a part of everyday living and our relationships, are rarely comfortable lessons. The impact of many life issues causes tremors in the chakras and their cord system, but methods that help integrate a small crisis (such as the reflexive personal process) can transform these shocks into life-affirming occurences.

Significant trauma is best healed with psychotherapy and with body-centered modalities; mild shock and non-debilitating trauma can utilize the reflexive personal process, but it pressumes that an individual can:

* Feel – and experience – the full impact of the challenging event upon his body, mind and emotions

* Choose to open the heart chakra, to forgive, and even to give what has been take away as a gift to the perpetrator, effectively ending the relationship of victim/perpetrator, and closing down the chakra cord connection

* Take back into the heart chakra, and the self, the cause-and-effect life lesson that lead towards any enhancement of consciousness; that which fill the cells of the body with restorative life force. This self-anchoring event brings the self back into itself via chakra self-cords, resulting in an enhanced experience of individuated self.

An easy way to do reflexive personal process is to begin by initiating a therapeutic dialog to uncover what happened, how it felt to you, and what this event could potentially teach you about yourself, about others, or about the process of living. Then, you move directly towards energizing the solution, rather than sifting through the many details (or explore the varieties of repetitions) of the problem.

Finally, you can use your breath, and the intentional focus of your mind, to actively release the energetic hold that the trauma (or shock) has on your body. Energy work can help tremendously to boost the effectiveness of this process. Also, breathe into Anahata, the heart chakra, while freely giving away that which was “stolen”, and knowing that the lesson you have gained will lead you towards a renewal experience. Whatever is taken from you usually can be replaced, and perhaps even return greatly enhanced. Any symbolic “death” – the resistance to inevitable change – does not have to be the end; it can lead to a rebirth, and to an enlivened experience of the living in the body.

If a client is unable to feel the impact of the lesson in the body-mind they will need remedial psychotherapy work to address the trauma and associated restrictions before they are able to move into such reflexive personal process work. If I cannot feel my emotional identity, if I have lost my basic trust, then I may be unable to open the heart, or to give away that which has been “stolen” from me. Only the generous and kind heart can do this. If my heart is emotionally damaged I may be unable to move into universal love: the healing energy that washes everything clean.

And, finally, if I am angry, or stubbornly identified with being a victim, then I may not be able to take any solution into my heart as a lesson, because it leads inevitably towards the letting go of the unconscious energetic connections with my abuser. If I am still angry, we – victim and perpetrator – will remain attached together, even if the offender has been long absent in our lives, until I choose to embrace a new solution to my problem: to let go, to forgive myself and the other, and thereby to be released, and re-birthed into a new life.

Reflexive personal development also dissolves illusory polar opposites into life-enriching choices, helping us overcome the compulsion to choose only one of two options. We are all partly good and bad, partly right and wrong, partly male and female, and so on. Identifying with one polarity against the other maintains any struggle and, by association, the traumatic relationship. By <a

And, when we have this, when we are reborn, we can then return to the life journey that was interrupted by the trauma. We can resume our journey forward, into a future co-created by ourselves and by life, rather than a life organized around the reaction to growth-stunting trauma.

Astral Vision

Healing Skills

Astral

Astral Healing

Energy Healing Skills
<guid

Students of energy healing who are drawn to this work often struggle with the first requirement for Astral healing work: how to see the Astral. This short article outlines two of the fundamental hurdles every healer must clear in opening their Astral vision.

The first hurdle in learning to see in the Astral world is to understand that, in these realms we do not utilize corneas and retinas, nor do we use eye muscles to change directional viewpoint. In the Astral realms the eye is singular: we see with the Eye of Light: Agnya (Ajna) chakra.

The second hurdle is to realize that the Astral’s four-dimensional realms are not lit from the light from any Astral sun. The light in the Astral world emanates from within an Astral person, or other life form. Astral light permeates these realms without throwing shadows. This gives Astral vision a hyper-saturated visual quality, similar to what we see in some of the new digital effect-dominated movies, such as James Cameron’s Avatar (2010). In Avatar we watch an eerily Astral-like simulation, as the characters move from the everyday world into visceral contact with an alien world. Of course, in the Astral realms we are unaware of our body, mostly experiencing it visually, in addition to some emotional content. But, similar to the storyline in Cameron’s movie, healers can learn how the Astral works on its own terms, rather than on our own.

How do you locate yourself in the Astral realms? The best way to begin is to develop Agnya chakra, and then observe the quality of the light around you, or within your client’s energy body. Then you can adjust your healing work to one of three distinctive levels in these forty-nine dimensional realities.

The Higher Astral is filled with over-saturated colors and textures, interpreted that way because our brain has a limited experience of higher-dimensional frequencies. Additionally, the Higher Astral tends to raise your overall vibration away from your egoic self identity, and closer towards your eternal soul identity. Our present-day life is experienced in context to all other incarnation experiences, and may seem to contradict our experience of the flow of linear time. In the Higher Astral the time dimension is fluid, not fixed and linear. In this realm, time can flow backwards, or move forwards rapidly. It should be noted that time distort effects are apparent at every level of the Astral realms.

The Middle Astral can be recognized when you find yourself relating to familiar or unfamiliar life forms, all of which are interconnected and inter-related to each other. If you are talking to trees, plants or insects in an Astral dream, or during an Astral healing, then you are probably in the Middle Astral. These dimensions are incredibly diverse and rich; your interaction with it is only limited by your imagination and openness to creativity. You are Alice down the Rabbit Hole.

The Lower Astral shuns light at all costs, preferring the cover of darkness, and often conceal any direct perception of their true form. If you find yourself in a dark and gloomy place, or if the Astral entity will not show himself, then the chances are good that you in contact with the Lower Astral. There are many levels of the Lower Astral, not all of which are bad. But it is good to keep in mind one of the most recognized spiritual truths: when in doubt, head for the brightest light you see. This is the reason: absence of light is the classic Lower Astral red flag. We may need to go there, as spiritual warriors, to retrieve a part of our client (or ourselves) but for some individuals there is a danger in spending too long in such a low vibrational state. You could forget who you are, and why you are there.

Astral vision is most available to you when you are in the dream worlds, or in a hypnogogic altered state usually associated with Shamanism, or spiritual healing. To see into the Astral in the waking state requires tremendous stabilization in Agnya chakra: the Eye of Light. This personal development requires much practice, not only to perceive but to then learn to affect a change in the Astral. But before change must come perception. You can’t change what you can’t see.

The Astral healer first learns to see the Astral worlds during sleep, or during Shamanic initiation rituals, and can observe the quality of lighting in their dreams as a way to orientate themselves. When we apply this experience to our waking consciousness state we learn how to shift from ocular vision to inner vision: from the secondary physical eyes and into the singular, inner eye, sometimes known as the “mind screen”. The Eye of Light is how you see the Astral while awake, as well as when you are in the dream state. The Eye of Light is anchored in Agnya chakra, but is supported by other energetic nervous system structures, including prefrontal lobe development and the lower brain stem (Talu Chakra). When healthy and balanced, the Eye of Light can bridge the gap between the energetic brain and the Astral worlds. But, when the healer is traumatized or uninitiated, this same Eye of Light can project energy consciousness out of itself, distorting what it sees, or creating self-fulfilling prophecies. Fantasy fears become realities.

Being an Astral healer requires us to always be working towards opening the Eye of Light, as well as developing a strong Etheric body. But we do not discard the valuable information we get from our physical eyes. These three “eyes” must learn to work together, as each holds vital information for us, to both see the truth, and to look to where we can affect a change. Opening the Eye of Light will show you many things about the world in which you live, and about the transformational process of your client. It will also reveal many things about you to yourself.

Are you ready to open all three of your eyes, and see?

Initiation Into Spirit Communication

Healing Skills

Astral

Astral Healing

Energy Healing Skills
<guid

Although not required for Energy Healing it will take a healer's work to another level. But the personal work required to be able to contact the Astral world is arduous, and continual. Only the adventurous need apply.

The experience of meeting something that is not human is numinous: the connection to a presence outside of us that evokes fear and trembling, as well as fascination, and which draws us ever closer towards the transcendent. These two reactions of the human consciousness system – fear and fascination – are the common experiences we all share whenever we come into contact with Divine energies … and with the various dimensions of the Astral world. For fundamental Christian thinkers a choice must be made in any contact with the Numinous; to reject the Spirit world option, and embrace only God. But, for others, more options are available. The experience of the Wholly Other – a numinous presence not from our mind nor from another human being – can lead us towards communication with the people of the Astral world. If we are ready, that is. This is spirit communication: listening to the voices that whisper to us from another dimensional reality.

If our emotional and mental development is weak, voices from another dimension may destabilize our connection to consensual, or “normal”, reality. Schizophrenia can be the ensue, resulting in an individual who is vulnerable to destructive “inner” voices, or paranoid about suspiciously-motivated “outer” voices. But to the initiated Shaman (and to a functional Psychic) voices from another dimension are the direct line of communication to and from the Astral world. If your mental and emotional container of self is strong, if you can handle the experience of a voice that is Wholly Other talking to you, you can enter into the Shamanic experience. Spirits – Astral people – do want to talk with you.

Often the first experience we humans have with spirit communication is through meaningful dreams, or being given an important insight upon waking from deep sleep: an understanding, relevant to your life situation. The next step that follows is usually the witnessing of hypnogogic messages, where, in the half-awake consciousness prior to waking (or to falling asleep) voices that are not your own are heard to speak. Finally, once a stable bridge of connection to the Astral is formed, the voices of the Wholly Other may begin to dictate – perhaps in complete sentences, and with a coherent meaning and structure – talks on the meaning of reality. Or, important personal information is passed on to the healer, to enhance the healing and transformational process of their client.

Many of our famous scientific breakthroughs come about through a similar process. Much art is created from these energies of the Numinous washing over the artist, handing to him or her a completed masterpiece. All the receptive individual has to do is listen, to write, to paint. The creation pours forth, and the creator is as much a witness to the result as are all others. Creations from the Astral come into the everyday world fully formed; not assembled over time, piece by piece. “This is not mine”, we find ourselves saying. “This is my Muse, working through me”.

For a healer working with the Astral world more is required than with other creative individuals. The Astral dimension has technical and specific ways in which it interacts with the human consciousness system. This knowledge is historically passed down from Shaman to Shaman, from healer to healer. It is taught through a process we call Initiation – the deep learning of a body of knowledge through direct and indirect transmission – and is a process that is also used to screen the Shaman, to make sure they can handle what will come their way once the Astral becomes part of their healing work.

If the Shaman-in-training is not ready, or does not have the requisite temperament for interactions with the Astral world, tremendous challenges await them. Their emotional and mental apparatus – paralleling that of the less-functional schizophrenic – can become compromised. Their lives may become an incoherent mess for a while, until the boundary with the Astral has been reset, strengthened, and re-insulated against Astral contact. Such healers can actually do more damage than good, as they are the product of the Failed Initiation. But if the healer/shaman completes their Initiations successfully, and is willing to take on the continual challenges and personal hurdles that are required of a Shamanic practitioner, they will come to know the multiple benefits of Astral Healing.

The Astral Healing Initiation and training process cannot be learned from a book. Astral healing cannot be taught over a few weekend courses. No certificates are awarded. Dedication is required, in combination with the right temperament and the appropriate life-experience.

Astral initiation asks of us the heroism of the warrior, and the thoroughness of the scientist. It requires us to become eternal students of soul growth. We will come to experience the multiple nuances of potent energetic forces once invisible to us. The Astral world can enrich, and heal … but it can also pull us down into the depths of despair. Which is why we need Initiation and training. Not to mention a certain talent. A sense of ironic humor will also help you tremendously, as will the vital companionship of other students along the way. Oh, and you’ll need a lot of luck.

Attitude Adjustment

Healing Skills

Travel Blog

Energy Healing Skills

Kota Kinabalu, in Malaysian North Borneo. Here, for three days, we will immerse ourselves in Western hotel luxury, hot tubs, the ocean … and, most importantly, do some horse-back riding on the beach.

We soon discovered the food at the Rasa Ria to be bland by local standards, although the Western tourists flocking here appear more than happy with the resort cuisine. As we sat in the Rasa Ria’s Coast Restaurant on the beach, I gazed mournfully at a glass of Australian Chardonnay I had just ordered. It, like our food, was bland. Expensive, yes … overwhelming, no.

“Why don’t you just change its vibration?” suggested Yui. I looked up at her, and blinked, and then returned a quizzical gaze to the wine. Yui Wang is one of the best psychics I know, so when she states the obvious, I try to listen. Now, this would be an act of pure self-indulgence, I thought to myself, but why not? After all, it’s not exactly changing water into wine, like in the good old days of the Egyptian Mystery Schools. My standards are much lower; I’m just hoping for drinkable wine.

I placed the glass between both hands, and shifted into energy healer mode, habitually increasing the pranic flow into my fingers. As with all energy healing any combination of focused intent and pranic flow creates change, but I also needed to adjust my attitude from one of disappointment and towards optimistic certainty. It’s the same esoteric principle utilized in any healing with my clients, albeit an application far nobler than personal wine transformation.

It’s nice to have help, so I sent out an invitation to the spirit guardians of the Burgundy wine region of eastern France, to ask for their participation in my experiment. Two minutes later I placed the wine on the table, swirled it for dramatic effect, and then tasted it again. Actually, it did seem much better than before, which was confirmed by my dinner partner. Wishful thinking? Imagination? Probably. But the incident reminded me of a fundamental truth of transformational work: if you don’t like what you are experiencing in life… change it, baby. Even a small shift can make a big difference.

Energy healing is never about big and dramatic changes, at least initially. It’s about tiny, incremental shifts that lead us forwards, towards a leap in both our experience and our perceptions. Multiple accumulations of consciousness upgrades allow our animal body to integrate and effectively utilize consciousness enhancements into our lives, whether it is sensory (like my dinner wine) or orientated around a life goal (such as a desire for a new job, or to become more financially secure). It all begins with a focused intention, which is then energized with prana. And, finally, you must believe in the outcome, to be able to suspend your skeptical mind for a while … and perhaps even learn to ask for help. When you release your request out into the universal energy field you initiate a process that can lead to deep change. You actively participate in bringing a new experience into your life. You can – just like me – change any sad wine into a happy wine.

But first, you have to try.

The Auric Energy Boundary

Healing Skills

Energy Healing Skills
<guid

It needs to be cleaned or cleared, strengthened, and treated with care. No entry into a client’s energy system is ever a small matter. Boundary work is an essential aspect of relational energy healing.

The auric energetic boundary – the defining edge of the consciousness field – is a vital part of the Etheric body. Just as the skin protects the organs in the body from infection, while supporting and containing those same organs, the auric “skin” protects the general energetic system from astral infection.

I always begin my energy healing work by clearing the energetic boundary of the client of lower astral material. Astral clearing is a skill that can be learned by most healers, and easily added to other healing protocols. This clearing of the boundary is the equivalent of a surgeon scrubbing up prior to any operation that will make an incision into the patient’s skin, with the aim of preventing infection due to the medical proceedure. Similarly, if I am going to enter through the energetic boundary of my client I need to make sure my own entry does not provide an opportunity for unwanted astral energies to enter along with me.

Secondly, after I have cleared my client’s energetic boundary I will want to explore its strength and porosity, as this will give me vital information for the upcoming healing. For instance, if my client’s etheric boundary vibrates extremely fast it may indicate highly-developed mental growth but also could also suggest that the client is slightly out of contact with physical body, and its needs. The Barbara Brennan School of Healing (BBSH) refers to this particular configuration as the Schizoid character: someone highly mental or spiritual in personality, but lacking a strong grounding into the physical body. Relational Energy Healing seeks to support clients by increasing the efficiency of their inherent consciousness system. In this example, a fast vibrational boundary will need a counterweight to support continued personal growth. It will need to gain greater access to earth energies, and to root more deeply into the cells of the body. The relational energy healing protocol for working with a high-frequency boundary is to energize these lower frequencies.

Thirdly, the energetic boundary contains two important layers. The outer layer of the auric boundary is relational: it provides us with an interface to the outside world. The inner layer is self-reflective: it supports a balanced connection to our inner world. Both layers deserved attention; to clear and stabilize their functioning prior to any work to be done on the the chakra and chakra cord system.

Once the energy healing to chakras and chakra cords is complete I will always integrate the work back into the client’s energetic boundary. Any surgeon will take care to suture the skin after an operation, to seal up the entry point so as to enhance healing and to prevent infection. The same principle applies to energy healing work. Left alone our energetic entry points into a client’s auric field will heal of their own accord (again, just like the skin) but I find a focussed and detailed closing procedure enhances the clients healing process tremendously. An additional reason to give a careful closure is to avoid leaving an energetic “scar” on the auric boundary. Cumulatively, careless or excessive entry/exit points in the same area on the boundary may weaken its integrity.

<a

We choose to either hold our ground against an attractive, but ultimately dissatisfying person, or to – yet again – allow ourselves to enter into the same kind of relationship: one that we know is against our best interests.

The mechanism for inappropriate relationships can be seen wired into the Etheric body via the chakra cord system, and manifests in how we repetitively seek to connect to another person who is not good for us. As adults we are repeating an earlier (and dysfunctional) solution to an authentic childhood need, originally frustrated due to family circumstances. In our childhood while reaching out to find love and appreciation from our caregivers we may have been met with schizoid absence, borderline fragmentation, or narcissistic exploitation. An awareness of our habitual process, where we discover how we do this, is the first step, and is then followed by the dissolving of challenging relationship contracts.

We then move on to the next step: energetically reclaiming the lost emotional consciousness when hooked into an inappropriate relationship. We can begin to heal the exhausting energy drain – which is how invasive cords manifestly affect the physical system – by initiating a self-care regime to reverse it, as well as deliberately pulling the lost or stolen energy back into our cells. Once we are filled with our life force (as opposed to innocently handing it over to someone in the vain hope of receiving love in return for capitulation) we can move more easily to release them, and to begin preparations for the arrival of a better choice. This waiting period is the trial-by-fire that most children of dysfunctional families fear the most: an empty time, unfilled by the drama and chaos caused by dysfunctional friends and lovers, but it an essential time for clearing away the past.

Chakra cord energy healing work pulls the energy you habitually give to the other back into yourself, so you can experience a new-found expansion of self. To support the healing process you must break the habit of contact with the other, and make a conscious decision to wait for healthy change to integrate into your energy consciousness system. You use the waiting time to reset your values to those that any healthy individual would expect to have in a relationship. Start working to draw someone into your life who is at the same level of awareness as you, someone who demonstrates a track record of words consistent with their actions, and someone capable of self-reflection and mutuality.

This wait may be lonely at times. But the healing of an inappropriate relationship is worth its weight in gold, because ultimately – just like precious metals – your life force has an intrinsic value, recognized the world over, as opposed to a paper fiat currency or the “promise to pay”. Choose yourself, respect yourself, be loyal to yourself right now. Know your value. Heal your past where – for whatever reason – you could not have made a healthy choice. Consciously release relationships of questionable value, learn to tolerate the inevitable loneliness of the gap, and prepare for the arrival of your new life.
