The natural assumption is that psychics have a special gift to predict future events and that by our listening to oracles we can avoid calamity, and maximize success. But, after working with hundreds of these cases over twenty years, I’ve yet to be convinced as to the face value of the predictive psychic reading.

If psychics could consistently predict the future with a more than 50% accuracy rate it stands to reason you would have a lot of extremely wealthy psychics walking around. But it is the business and the banking professionals that are currently harvesting our planetary wealth, not the psychics.

In understanding global affairs we may hold the same assumptions as held by many psychics: the common belief that the world mostly unfolds naturally, rather than being influenced dramatically by outside manipulative forces. If you innocently believe the world unfolds rather than being significantly shaped by hidden agendas you will assume that all outcomes have an equal chance. You will strive to be fair in all your dealings. But the hidden manipulation of any event is not designed to be fair in return; if it is biased, if the game is rigged, then your innocence is being used against you.

And this is why I believe predictive psychic readings do not tend to be very helpful: the time line is constantly being changed and shifted, due to underlying agendas beyond our everyday awareness. Also, if you are organizing around a future event (the prediction) your energy will move away from the creative present moment and into the future. Your life will become future-orientated, not now-time-orientated.

Spotting patterns and trends is a powerful way to see how you are being used, manipulated, or “farmed” by another, or by a group or national energy field, and can lead you to begin to change the rules of the game to your benefit. It will help you to awaken to the truth of things, rather than continue to allow yourself to simply be a resource for others, often at great cost to your own needs.

To distinguish our Relational Energy Healing approach to psychic readings from other psychics I’ve renamed it as a Psychic Trend Analysis.

The Psychic Trend Analysis is about trend-spotting, not about psychic prediction. If we apply the three levels of the Astral world consciousness, and chakra and chakra cord functioning to an analysis of the existing patterns in our lives we can begin orientate ourselves in a new way. We can gain fresh insights into our lives.

Psychic Trends Analysis has three levels:

1 . At the Lower Astral level, trends follow the non-conscious unfolding of archetypal and primal energies running through your individual, family, and social templates. This is your personal energy system under the influence of Lower Astral energies.

2. Many current trends in our lives are made to occur, and follow a hidden agenda to actively change your life to be in service of the other. This is the realm of the Middle Astral: the manipulation of consciousness and events to produce a required outcome. Moving from innocent victim into informed adult shifts your life tremendously once manipulative trends are spotted. Any confidence trick will only work if you are unaware of it. Once awake and alerted, the con trick loses its power over you.

3. There are greater spiritual trends at work, possible best described as the higher spiritual perspective, those which can lead us towards greater evolution and spiritual growth. This is the influence of the Higher Astral.

Trending at the Lower Astral level is useful to us in our everyday lives, because it helps us place our lives in context, and orientates us towards getting the support we need, the relationships that need to change or grow, or to help us in move in a certain direction. For instance, if I consciously know I am in a contraction phase, where I am integrating and letting go of the past, I can actively participate by bringing my attention into letting go, and cleaning out my symbolic closet of all those things ready to be released from my life. Or, if I know I am in an expansion phase, and suddenly life is spontaneously full of wonderful opportunities, I can work extra hard to maximize that opening. Riding the wave of expansion will brings bounty and prosperity into my life, to balance the previous contraction wave.

Trending at the level of the Middle Astral is harder for the mind to grasp, because it requires a huge leap into the understanding that the world is not unfolding naturally; many events in the world are created, or contrived, with a dark agenda underlying them. A clear example of this is what has been termed disaster capitalism, where corporate interests swoop into a natural (or man-made) disaster, and take advantage of the trauma and disorientation of the local populace by buying up their resources, such as land or property (see Naomi Klein’s “The Shock Doctrine”). Similarly, wars don’t just happen but are manufactured by the powerful groups running a country, and are usually triggered by a false-flag event to provide the excuse to attack another country so as to steal their resources. Anyone familiar with the tactics of the childhood schoolyard bully – who provokes you so as to give a “justified” response – will recognize this common trend pattern, even when applied at the global level.

At the Higher Astral level we have to look at long-term trends using the span of previous lifetimes. The context of this life-time as seen through the eyes of our soul growth may help an individual understand why they seem fated to move through specific experiences, and why they gain particular knowledge about themselves.

If we do a Psychic Trend Analysis of these three domains: Lower Astral trends (at the personal level), Middle Astral trends (what is being manipulated in us by others), and Higher Astral trends (incarnational events that reflect our evolutionary or spiritual growth).

In a 90-minute Psychic Trend Analysis Session we explore these three domains in your life, and look at where you are in regard to your life right now, and the Lower, Middle, and the Higher Astral. This should allow or help you to orientate yourself in a new way, and head in the right direction in your life. If we are lost all we need is a light, a compass, and a map. Then, we can begin to find our way home.

<span

Will it be more of the same? Or, are we at the dawn of a new New Age?

It’s January, 2010, marking the beginning of a new decade. What will the next ten years bring? How will we characterize the “Tens” of the Twenty-First Century, when we look back on them in January, 2020? Although each decade cannot really be contained by generalizations I still like to categorize the shifts that I experience in my life. It’s a personal perspective, of course, but one I allow myself to indulge in tonight, as my celebratory glass of champagne warms up in the tropical Borneo air.

I was born out of the radical shifts in society activated in the Radical Sixties, and I moved into early adulthood in the Alienated Seventies. The Expansive Eighties brought me into touch with the New Age themes of spiritual expansion embodied in the self indulgent – and yet enthusiastic - human potential movement. The Affluent Nineties inflated economic bubbles, feeding our childish fantasies of omnipotence, and then the Manufactured Crises of the Zeros deflated them, one at a time. Cycles of expansion and contraction, each phase falling within an approximate ten-year time frame, reflecting the core values of the generations raised within each of them: Baby Boomers, Gen-X, Gen-Y, and now the Millenials. Is it possible to see the future trend from these previous patterns? Here’s my best hit on the meaning of the coming decade. Don’t bet the farm on it, though.

Since we are coasting towards the end of of contraction phase it seems safe to bet we will enter another time of expansion within a year or so. But the United States Dollar remains teetering on the brink of collapse. There is no way, but down, for the USD. Meanwhile, Asia is surging with renewed vigor (all but ignored by Western media) as it prepares to take up mantle of global importance. So, what should we expect? How about a combination of economic transformation and Millenial themes? What if we both contract and expand … at the same time? I’m guessing the Tens will be the new New Age.

As the West digests the impact of the economic terrorism wrought upon it by the international banking cartels, and Asia moves away from servicing the American economy and towards the creation of local wealth, so will the New New Age zeitgeist be an enormous reorientation for spiritual seekers. The message will be “Let stuff fall away, and create within the village model”. Rugged individualism will play second fiddle to the power and needs of the group. Social networking technology will transport the new memes, as changes rapidly rise and fall from our view. Blink, and you might miss something important.

For Healers the new New Age will be more about coaching than teaching, more about building on simple building blocks then expanding upon existing complexities. While the New Age was naive, the new New Age will be a privileged child who expects everything, and needs a careful, patient mentor. The greatness of the current generation is not what they know, but rests in the collapse of what they expected to have… but don’t have. They are constantly reaching out, to make contact with the virtual world that lies beyond the drabness of daily lives. Want to see it in action? Walk down any street in Tokyo, and watch the Japanese reading text messages as they walk, or chatting on their hand phone while with friends … witness the digital culture streaming into the Millenial psyche, almost 24/7. And the future of entertainment? Mostly digital fantasies; stories unrestricted by the limitations of everyday life and boring Newtonian physics. Computer game meets Reality TV show. Excitement trumping substance. And still more changes are coming, ready to surge into the light of day through our Twitter feeds, Facebook accounts, and Message Boards.

What does this portend for the work of an Energy Healer? I’m guessing a huge upswing in clients looking for elementary validation, and coaching in how to get their basic needs met: in relationship, health, and career. Practical stuff, rather than esoteric curiosity. And, in contrast to the previous New Age in the Eighties, we will now see the power of the group’s progression as being as important as any personal attainment. Spiritual advancement will seem to be like coming to the end of an online computer game with other players, and gaining access – and hence more tools to play with – at Level Two. An increasingly surreal and manufactured reality will dominate the coming decade, leaving we Baby Boomers stunned, shaking our heads in amazement, as we watch Millenials interact with fake reality on it’s own terms. We will have to remind ourselves that it is the healer’s job is to serve Spirit, and to flow with the Tao. We must trust that we are moving into a new world unique only in amazing technological expansion, but yet just another expression of the archetypal spiritual journey. It’s still all about releasing our human and spiritual potential.

But, then again, I would say that. I’m a baby boomer.

Predictive Linguistics

World News

Trends

It’s a fascinating idea. That human beings are inherently sensitive to future trends, and drop hints about what is coming our way through their everyday internet activity. What if you were smart enough to send out internet software spiders programed to harvest emergent memes, and then attempted to interpret the results from a global perspective? Would it be a techo crystal ball and allow you to look into the future? That’s the question being explored by Cliff High over at
<a

But he says he soon became entranced in the potential of how vast amounts of data could be organized into various meaningful domains or “entities”: areas of common interest which he labeled “Markets”, “Populace/USofA”, “GlobalPop”, “TPTB” (The Powers That Be) and even a mysterious segment of UFO/ET or space-based influences named the delightful “SpaceGoatFarts”. Awesome.

If you are curious about predictive linguistics you can find Cliff giving interviews on several internet radio shows this year, such as <a

You can also subscribe to the ALTA reports on Cliff’s web site. What to take away from all of this? Probably it is time to really pay attention to what is barreling down on the US of A this Winter: a huge financial meltdown that will prove immune to President Obama’s charismatic smile.

Back on board

Travel Blog

Trends

Since my last blog entry the world has continued to change rapidly, leaving me feeling like a passenger on a small boat, tossed around by the waves of fate. I’m finally back in Borneo, after a long teaching trip to Japan. Concluding the fourth in the series of my Tokyo public seminars, Yui and I then made our way to Kyushu, the third-largest island, in the south of Japan. We enjoyed a hot spring spa writing retreat after which we headed to our final destination: Kyushu University, where as a visiting professor I taught a one-day course on relational therapy to undergraduates.

Returning to the world of news I was happy to see the oil price had dropped and was staying low, but less than happy to see gold slump into unexpected (and manipulated) lows. At least Iran has not yet been attacked, an outcome that may have been shifted into the next few months. I caught up on my reading about the so-called US financial bail-out (looks more like a bank heist, to my eyes) forced upon an unwilling American populace, an event then followed in rapid succession by the election of now President-Elect Obama. I am a little concerned at my own cynicism with Mr Obama, though. I guess after witnessing many of these political “changing of the guard” events in the past I’m less impressed by the rhetoric of change, more impressed by radical departure from the status quo. Thus far, Mr. Obama looks like political business as usual, albeit marketed to us with a likable and charismatic smile. Choosing Rahm Emmanuel as his Chief of Staff sends quite a Zionist signal to the world. Anyhow, like most of us I’m just delighted that the Bush Administration is almost a part of history. They can’t do any more damage at this point, can they? Well, just don’t bet the farm on it.

But the main reason for a low incidence of recent blog entries, my traveling notwithstanding, has been the relocation of this web site to an Australian server, in anticipation of possible problems with the US internet backbone. Time will tell whether this is a prescient business move or just a waste of time, but at least my Australian and Asian readers will enjoy faster download times compared with my previous US-based server. I’m grateful to Bradley Spencer, my WordPress consultant and SEO professional, for all his work in making the server transition go smoothly. So, now I’m back on board the Internet again plans are afoot for more web site articles, as well as a series of education audio programs teaching how to use energy healing for self transformation and relationship health.

Update: Due to the increasing internet censorship in Australia Dean eventually went back to using a USA-based server for this website.

Gotta love those dysfunctional love songs

Relationships

Relational Healing

Trends

HDTV, hooked up my home theater, and patiently awaited the outcome of the Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD wars. My TV would look right at home on a Star Trek movie set, and can display the coveted 1080p signal. I eagerly awaited the coming revolution of exciting high definition content.

<a

Toshiba have now conceded the marketplace battle for the hearts and wallets of consumers, leaving Blu-Ray the crowning champion of the 1080p format. But during while waiting out the battle my world has changed. Hi Def has been replaced by Tiny Lo Def. My life has transitioned towards downloaded internet content, and the ultimate gadget monster to blame it all on is:

Apple’s iPod Touch.

This little piece of techo-heaven holds both my audio files (music, podcasts, audio books and audio lectures) and, of course, video. After purchasing the iPod Touch at the oh-so-cool Apple store in Tokyo, I eagerly loaded it up with one of my favorite movies, as well as some Noam Chomsky video interviews. I was blown away by how much fun it was to carry my intellectual and entertainment “food” around with me. Plane rides were made bearable, workout routines a joy, spare time without a book became a pleasure. I can even jack this thing into my car audio.

There are two themes to consider, in this journey from hi-def to lo-def that may become a part of many our lives in the future. The first is content choice. We have all become accustomed to free access to TV and movies, delivered to us from the Main Stream Media (MSM). The MSM is all corporate-mandated material, from CNN to The New York Times or The Washington Post. But the older I get, the more limited these sources seem to me, merely repeating or reinforcing cultural thought as they do. What if I want to go alternative media all the way?

What’s up with the G-Spot?

Relationships

Relational Healing

Trends
<guid

The tissue of the G-spot, as most sexually-active individuals are aware, is noticeably thicker and has a different texture, on the front vaginal wall behind the urethra.

The bad news: not every woman has a G-spot, according to Jannini’s study. This only means that some women are restricted to clitoral orgasms (non-G spot women) and only G-spot women can attain vaginal orgasm.

More research is needed, say sex professionals, and a call has gone out for volunteers.

I know what you single men out there are thinking. “I knew it! It wasn’t me, after all!”

Before you ladies start sending the Italians feminist email rants about your sexual freedom, you might want to hold back a while. Let these people work. I just found out that this discovery was the side-product of a study going on to discover a “female Viagra”.

Apparently Viagra-like medications can affect female Skene glands and their level of PDE 5 (which research has shown accumulates around the G-spot), but if you don’t have a G-spot, the medication doesn’t work. Bad break, Pfizer.

So, what’s coming in the future, no pun intended? Well, the drug companies have recently created “Erectile Dysfunction” or “ED”, as a way to legally market their expensive drugs to men; look out for “Female Arousal Disorder” medications, no doubt making their debut soon. They just have to work out the science. Hopefully, they will do a better job than Eli Lilly did with Prozac.

I wonder if the new pill will be pink..
